Welcome to the website for BOMA Canada's Go Green program. BOMA Go Green is a national environmental recognition and certification program for existing commercial buildings. These pages will provide you with the tools and information needed to apply for certification under this new, national environmental initiative, created by and tailored to the commercial real estate industry.

Buildings of any size can participate; application materials are available here or through local BOMA associations. The program is about much more than just certification: the application process will help assess how well your building is performing and includes suggestions for tangible ways to improve environmental practices.

Any Asset Class Can Go Green

All types of buildings are eligible for Go Green and Go Green Plus certification. Shopping centres, industrial properties, institutions, industrial properties and any other type of building can Go Green! The Go Green best practices apply to all types of buildings.

The Go Green Plus assessment tool is also applicable and a valuable management tool. The final report and the benchmarks are currently geared for office building assets. In partnership with our industry partners and BOMA local associations across the country, BOMA Canada will have more specialized Go Green Plus assessments available for other asset classes later this year.

As a participant in this important national environmental initiative, you will be recognized as a leader in environmental stewardship. As buildings across the country achieve their certification, it is our hope at BOMA Canada that BOMA Go Green will lead to healthier workplaces and sustainable building development and management practices.
